Our commitment
Cabot Medical wants everyone to be able to use cabotmedical.com, including people with disabilities. We keep accessibility in mind whenever we design, write and update the site, and we keep working to improve it.
The standard we follow
Our goal is for cabotmedical.com to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. These guidelines, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), explain how to make web content easier to use for people with a wide range of disabilities, including blindness and low vision, deafness and hearing loss, limited movement, and cognitive and learning disabilities.
What we do
- We design pages to work with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a link that skips straight to the main content.
- We use headings, labeled form fields and text alternatives for meaningful images so pages make sense with a screen reader.
- We check text and controls for color contrast, and pages adapt to browser zoom and small screens.
- Animation follows your device’s reduce-motion setting and can be switched off from the accessibility menu.
- We test pages with automated tools (axe-core) and by hand with a keyboard whenever we update the site.
Accessibility menu
Every page has an accessibility button at the bottom left of the screen. It opens a menu where you can make text larger, increase line and letter spacing, switch to an easier-to-read font, highlight links or the keyboard focus, increase contrast, stop animations, enlarge the mouse pointer and turn on a reading guide. Your choices are remembered in this browser on this device.
You can also use your browser’s zoom (Ctrl and + on Windows, ⌘ and + on a Mac) and your device’s own accessibility settings, such as a screen reader or reduced motion, which the site respects.
